The Mortgage Hub was founded by Ben Minton in 2021. He wanted to bring something to Southeastern Kentucky that was missing: Wholesale Mortgages.

After having successful branches with a few retail companies, and not being satisfied with the cost that we were bringing to our customers, Ben decided to become wholesale mortgage broker. He cut out the middleman and now offers mortgages to our clients with no origination fee or lender costs.

Wholesale lenders are more prominent in larger metro areas, because lenders have to be very cost competitive to get business. Once he talked to enough of them and found out how much cheaper they are to the consumer, it made him sick, to be honest. Spending years at previous companies discounting all of the fees away to the point that he was working for free, because we did not feel right charging someone more than what lenders in the larger cities do.

There's nothing wrong with providing great service to someone and offering them competitive costs, but when you find out that there is a better way to do business for the customer, your choice is either to do it the right way, or to not to. It's time to bring ultra cheap mortgages to our neck of the woods!
